Hawaii Inter-island Cargo Rates to Increase

Bizjournals has an article posted about Young Brothers, the largest inter-island barge company, increasing their rates for shipping.   Obviously, the costs will be passed onto the consumer, leading to more expensive goods and services that rely on materials transported by barge.

$6M Center to be Built at Volcanoes National Park with Stimulus Grant

The AP is reporting on the new center to go up in Volcanoes National Park using the new Federal Stimulus Money from the Obama Administration:

Tonino Benson of Big Island gets Second at Nike 6.0 Junior Surf
